The exhibition venue is located on the lakefront, between Como and Bellagio at Via S. Fedele 3, Pognana Lario 22020. The exclusive setting, however, does not allow direct access by car and requires a short but steep walk down a pedestrian stairway from the various public parking options and the bus stop. As the walk is over 400 steps down (and up) we recommend a slow pace and comfortable shoes. We highly recommend arriving by boat (the public boat dock in Pognana is only a short walk to Palomar, you are also welcome to arrive with your own boat and use Palomar’s private dock).

By public transportation:

Boat

We highly recommend arriving at Palomar by boat. The public boat dock in Como is a short walk from the train stations (Como Lago – 5 minute walk, Como S. Giovanni – 10 minute walk) or the car park Valduce (10 minute walk).

The public boat schedule is as follows on Saturday and Sunday and the duration of the journey is approximately one hour:

Como to Pognana: 9.30; 12.15; 15.20
Pognana to Como: 12.55: 13.40; 15.30; 18.31

The boat stops a few times before it arrives about an hour later in Pognana (for the boat schedule please go to the Navigazione Lago di Como website; tickets can be purchased onboard)

From the boat dock in Pognana it's only a few steps to your left before you get to Palomar. Signs will guide you.

You are welcome to arrive with your own boat. Palomar has its own private dock.

Bus

Alternatively, from Como city center and both train stations (Como Lago and Como S. Giovanni) you may take the C30 bus to the stop "via Imbarcadero" in Pognana Lario. The bus stop is located just above the venue at street level. The bus runs every hour until approximately 20.00. For the bus schedule, we recommend referring to Google maps public transportation direction (tickets can be purchased at any Tabaccheria).

Taxi

There are taxi stands in front of Como S. Giovanni and Como Lago station (it’s about a 20 minute drive to Pognana and approximately €30). You can also call a taxi at the following number: (+39) 031 271000

Taxi boats are available and, of course, the ideal way to arrive. They need to be booked in advance. The cost is approximately €200 one way.

Since Palomar is not directly accessible by car, we recommended the following address for driving directions:

Parking in Pognana is limited but there are several free public parking spaces available. After parking your car, please proceed to the pedestrian stairway via Imbarcadero and walk down the hill towards the lake. Just before the lake turn to your right and after a few steps you will have reached your destination.
